The arrangements for the German Snowboard Championships are in full progress and a lot of riders have already signed up for the event. But unfortunately things do not always work out the way they are supposed to and that is why there are a couple of changes: Due to the weather conditions in the past weeks at Nebelhorn, it was not possible to guarantee the construction of the halfpipe on time and in perfect shape for the contest. As we want to offer only a great setup, we had to make a decision and cancel the halfpipe contest on Saturday, February 23rd.

But there is good news, too! The Slopestyle contest at Fellhorn Park is still on. Not as planned on Feb 24th but on Feb 23rd! The setup, consisting of a kicker with a 13m table, kicker with 16m/9m table, funbox with a flatrail, O´Neill downrail and MINI wallride as well as an endsection with an uprail-quarter-downrail combo will guarantee a couple of creative runs for the riders. After the battle for the title is done, there will be the prize-giving with a BBQ at Out of Bounds shop in Oberstdorf. At 9 pm the official German Championship Party will go down at Hörbar.

See you there!

The German Snowboard Championships 2013 are supported by MINI, Red Bull, O´Neill, Pleasure, Oberstdorf, Snowboard Verband Deutschland, Das Höchste, Bergbahnen Oberstdorf/Kleinwalsertal and Pipe Aid.

21:00 Heimatabend – the official after contest party at Hörbar, OberstdorfThis is the official announcement by Nebelhornbahn AG regarding the cancellation of the halfpipe event:

Even if this season´s winter kick-off was promising, it was not possible to get the halfpipe ready on time. The reason for that were warm temperatures which stopped the work on the halfpipe. As soon as it was cold enough we did everything possible. The weather in mid-January got even worse and shut down the construction. The Nebelhornbahn AG is very sorry for the circumstances. It was not possible to finish the halfpipe on time and in a way an event like the German Snowboard Championships deserves. But we still have the intention to provide a halfpipe in perfect shape until the end of February.
