Terje's Vision For The Arctic Challenge 2014

Mike Brindley Mike Brindley

The Arctic Challenge is kicking off in Oslo this week, and, as the halfpipe events draw closer, Terje Haakonsen and Greg Johnson have given us a bit of a glimpse at what we might see over the next couple of days…

It sounds like the riders themselves will have a good amount of influence over the event, so we can’t wait to see what goes down. Here’s the confirmed line-up and a few more details:

“Confirmed pro riders are Olympic Halfpipe Champion, Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), Markus Keller (SUI), Arthur Longo (FRA), Danny Davis (USA), Jack Mitrani (USA), Benji Farrow (USA), Scotty Lago (USA), as well as young guns Gabe and Ben Ferguson (USA). Terje Haakonsen (NOR) will for sure also take part himself. The concept is simple, but complex in a modern sports world: Athletes decides on arena and contest format. On Saturday (forecast: sun) a packed Oslo audience (hopefully) awaits action. The riders have three days to decide which format to perform in.”
