Its all about being in “the right place at the right time” and the DC ValPark Val d’Isère is definitely the right place. Onboard is proud to support this progressive park!
It is situated in the huge resort of Val d´Isere and everybody who has already been there knows that there are some pretty impressive mountains to shred on. But not only the larger backcountry is astonishing, with the DC ValPark Val d´Isere now hosts one of the best parks in the French Alps.
The DC ValPark is divided into different areas for all levels:
The Blue Line with three small jumps (3-5m) with skate style tables for maximum safety is perfect for beginners. The Red Line is “where it’s at” with five good jumps all lined up to get your legs and head ready to take it into the backcountry. The Black Line is not for the weak: 6m table into 10m table, to be followed by the mother of all HIPS. Then onto another 14m table and after that a new 3m wall ride. Burn those legs, baby ! And last but not least the Rail Line: This season the Valpark gets 18 new rails straight come from our swedish friends (www.scandinavianshapers.com). Tastes and colors can’t be discussed, so for sure there is something for everyone: Rainbow, S, Dance Floor, Vague, Wall… and a lot more surprises.
Just want to chill and watch, listen to some tunes and grab a BBQ ? The chill chalet is the perfect place to improve your winter tanning!
One of the highlights of the park will be the Valpark Week from March 2 to 6, here a quick overview:
March 2nd: Princess of the Park – pro girls slopestyle sponsored by Roxy with 1500 euros prize money and the best French lady rippers fighting for the crown.
March 3: Snow Show – freestyle demo with the kids of the resort in town.
March 5: Heli photoshoot in the park.
March 6: Heli photoshoot in the park
March 6, night: White battle – big air contest in town with live concert, battle between 8 teams of 3 (1 snow, 1 ski and 1 kid of the resort), some serious prize money and a big after contest party.
Riders like Arthur Longo, Franck Moissonnier, Ben Thomas Javid, Vincent Pages and Florent Marot have already confirmed their participation in the Val Week!
