Cardrona Games Results

Snowboarding, freestyle skiing, Moto FMX and snowmobiling mixed with live music was the formula for the Coca Cola Cardrona Games, held at Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand from 7-9th September.

The best freestyle snow sports athletes from around the world converged on Cardrona, Wanaka, for a heady mix of competitive sports events, live music and a constant stream of spectator activities. Over 1500 spectators turned up during the day to watch the gravity-defying performances.

Contests in Half Pipe, Boarder X and Slopestyle were certainly crowd pleasers, with riders turning out their top tricks in a bid to win some of the $45,000 prize money.

Cardrona Alpine Resort’s international-standard slopestyle course, which is one kilometer long, really tested the riders with its extensive features. It included a 16 metre-long, three metre-high ‘rainbow’ rail near the top of the course, as well as boxes and jumps that enabled competitors to perform their tricks and get some huge air along the way.
