Bonfire Snowboarding Company, in conjunction with Gore-Tex, is getting ready for a six stop movie tour featuring Misschief Films ‘Ro Sham Bo’ and Blank Paper Studios’ ‘The Gap Session’.
The tour will be making its first stop at the new Nine Star’s surf/skate/snow/bmx Mission Viejo store where customers can enjoy controlling in-store music, a full electronic lounge with enormous TVs, desktops for hopping online and giant sofas to relax in. Nine Star is located at 27741 Crown Valley Parkway inside The Kaleidoscope Center. The event is free and open to the public. A DJ will be spinning from 6pm until close, and from 6:30pm on Nine Star will be raffling off great prizes from Bonfire, Future Snowboard Magazine and passes to Mountain High, located in Wrightwood, CA.
All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Boarding for Breast Cancer Foundation.
Misschief Films released their first film, ‘…As If’, last year with a distribution of close to 18,000 copies sold around the world, making it the number one female snowboarding video for 2005. Looking for the same success in 2006, “Ro Sham Bo” features Bonfire’s own Leanne Pelosi and other female riders such as Tara Dakides, Silvia Mittermuler, Natazsha Zurek, Amber Stackhouse and many more talented girls. The Gap Session, a creation by Blank Paper Studio and Bonfire’s David Benedek, featuring Benedek himself along with Christoph Weber, Marco Grilc, Freddy Kalbermatten Travis Parker, Christophe Schmidt, Markus Keller, Mathieu Crepel, Travis Rice, Nicolas Mueller, Stefan Gimpl, Sani Alibabic. “The Gap Session” DVD will be included free in the November issue of Future Snowboarding Magazine. A two disc set featuring The Gap Session and a re-release of 2005’s hugely successful ’91 Words For Snow’ will also be available for purchase from www.blankpaperstudio.com. Benedek’s award winning Double Cork Frontside 1260 on one of the largest snowboard jumps ever built is just one highlight from this anticipated documentary.
