The idea of the “art on snow“ is to give talented artists from the board sports-scene, so called “board rider artists” a common platform to present themselves and their work. The Kleinwalsertal offers a gorgeous scene and countless possibilities to present board sports-art close to the root-element snow in a striking way.
Featured artist Andy Howell
The main-location of the project will be the newly renewed Casino Kleinwalsertal, where Andy Howell, one of the most famous board rider artists in the world, is going to present the exhibition of the “Seven Artistic Sins” (sevenartisticsins.com).
The project “Seven Artistic Sins“ by Rossignol in cooperation with spacejunk is already now highly appreciated by the art-scene. Seven artists from the board sports-section, covering also skateboarding-legend Steve Caballero, were found easily to realize the idea. The seven capital sins should be the topic for the designs of the new ski-series from Rossignol. So you can be looking forward to how each artist realized his subject.

Andy Howell, whose roots are in the American skateboarding-scene, says about his work: ”I have painted and drawn on every kind of board. … It transforms the functional piece into pure art.“ Andy is going to present his lifestyle and perception of art in live-workshops on site and so offers a deep view into his work to the public.
Besides the exhibition of the “Seven Artistic Sins”, the new-blood-artist Eva Krusche from Kaufbeuren is going to show her artwork at the Casino. The design of artworks for used boards of all kind is the part of her work that she is going to present at the art on snow.
The third artist at the art on snow will be Peter Koerbler, who draws for the Snowboarder MBM-Magazine and who is product-designer at a famous car-manufacturer. He combines photography and drawing in a very special way and bewitches every viewer with his artworks.

Other locations for exhibitions at the art on snow will be the upper station of the Kanzelwandbahn, the M&M Bar as well as the Crystal Ground – Snowpark Kleinwalsertal. There will be additional live-workshops in the art and sports-section. Here artists and pros will be there for all visitors with words and deeds.
The entertaining-program for the evenings will be a cocktail out of gala-diners and several hot parties. The art on snow consequently appeals to all senses.
