Issue 96 will cast a ray of light into the darkest hours of winter.
As you wait for the snow to stop falling you’ll be able to brush up on your backcountry skills by reading 96’s mountain awareness Techfiles and when the clouds finally lift and that kicker you built is bathed in sunlight you can quickly scan the Markus Keller Trickology for handy hints on your spins.
For the main interview we pinned down Mr. Sylvain Bourbousson, the most frequently naked French rider on the slopes, while our senior photographers Pat and Scalp take you on a voyage of discovery from the powder stashes of Switzerland to the slopes of Sochi, Putin’s favourite Russian resort and host of the 2012 winter Olympics.
Finally, not only did he nail an interview with red-hot countryman Chris Sörman, our Swedish photographer with ADHD Peter Lundström spent last season dragging a box around the Scandi lowlands for his little mates to play on and made a damn story about it.
Damn those long winters up north do strange things to the mind…
