The criticism that the Boa system doesn’t allow for different tensions over areas of the boot has been addressed and calmly told to bugger off by this new double system, incorporated into Vans’ Fargo Focus. The upper and lower boot can now be independently tightened as desired, with the ankle area being tightened by both to combat heel lift and they’re as joyously easy to get off as ever. Aside from the rather neat snow camo look, these have an updated Quadfit thermal liner, airbag/EVA cushioning and arch support, good footbeds and a middle of the road flex. Good for pretty much everyone who wants to do a bit of everything.
