With an estimated 250,000 snowboarders in the UK, those clever folks at Footprint Travel Guides have recognised the need for a travel guide dedicated to snowboarders and produced ‘Snowboarding the World’, a new travel guide due for release in early September.
Footprint Travel Guides, who specialise in encouraging independent travellers to tread their own path, has recruited a team of dedicated snowboarders and travel writers to create an accurate, credible travel guide for snowboarders, covering 100 resorts in 19 counties worldwide.
While covering the major resorts from Chamoniz to Davos, the guide also strives to give coverage to lesser-known spots such as Iran and Japan. Each resort is thoroughly reviewed with essential info on accommodation and transport as well as details on the the availability of vegetarian food and the resort’s approach to environmental issues.
Between them, 30-something co-authors Matt Barr, Chris Moran and Ewan Wallace have almost half a century of snowboarding experience, with Ewan still riding on the pro circuit. They have dedicated the past few years to creating this comprehensive but non-prescriptive snowboarding guide for riders of every level. Thanks to an unparalleled level of research, combined with imaginative editorial extras that take the reader to the heart of snowboarding’s rich culture and history, Snowboarding The World could be your snowboarding bible for this season.
‘Snowboarding The World’ will be priced £19.99, and is available in all good bookshops nationwide from early September.
