Sitting around for hours to try and find words to describe this book, there is only one that keeps on coming back. Trippy. Trippy as hell. The press release mentions the word ‘otherworldly’, which fits in pretty good as well, since I haven’t seen anything like it before. Floria Sigismondi does photography, videos, films and sculptures. Sometimes for acknowledged artists such as Christina Aguilera, the Cure, Incubus, Björk and Leonard Cohen, but more often than not, it seems, just for the sake of it. Bizarre images of women with four titties, androgynous beings and men with massive white heads that I’m sure some other snowboard magazine has been plagiarising. All executed with a style that is very punchy and vibrant, yet very smooth and soft. Trippy as hell, I tell you.
