Producer Danger Mouse (recently involved in the Gorillaz album) and schizophrenic rapper MF Doom teamed up for this original and fascinating opus. Just like two irresistible viruses, they’re going to contaminate the globe with their inventive, funny and creative hip-hop. This is probably one of the best albums to be released at the end of 2005. Melodic loops, powerful baselines and flow are the ingredients to DangerDoom’s success. There are also some prestigious collaborations featuring Talib Kweli on the dancey and happy track ‘Old School’, and Cee-Lo on the soulfool ‘Benzi Box’, to name but two. One of the best hip-hop albums of the winter, without a doubt.
