Burton E.S.T. binding

12:38 9th September 2007 by Onboard Snowboarding

E.S.T. stands for Next. Level. Shit. Well, in a roundabout way anyhow. Burton revisit the baseless binding concept with 21st century tech: instead of a rigid baseplate these have a chunky, cushioned pad for improved board feel (you can even remove it and run truly baseless if you want, perhaps on powder days), with the bindings attaching to the board via two mounting screws on the sides. For optimum performance, rock the E.S.T. with the single slider system seen on the X8 board and you’ll also benefit from as close to infinite stance options as possible. With a more direct board to body connection, prepare to react quicker, ride at higher speeds with more control, and have more precision than you’d ever thought possible.
