Lobster Snowboards

Lobster Snowboards was founded by the infamous snowboarding brothers Halldor and Eiki Helgason in 2011 in Iceland. Having been active pro riders for a while now, they brought all their experience into producing their own range of boards.

When founding Lobster, Halldor was only 20 and Eiki only 24 years old. As of why they decided to start the company they explain: “We started our own brand because we wanted to be able to create our own boards exactly the way we wanted, with our own style and our own graphics on quality boards.”

Produced in Capita’s high standard factory in Carinthia, Austria, Lobster Snowboards provides high quality boards made in Europe.

The complete range of Lobster Snowboards uses 3BT technology, which means that the board features a full tip to tail camber centerbase with rockered sidebases in one shape. Lobster focuses on producing freestyle boards, additionally a special youth board is released every season.

One of their boards, the Lobster Nosejob, comes with a squared off nose and tail as well as tools and templates which gives you the option of cutting nose and tail down to any shape.

All Lobster Snowboards feature graphics inspired by Eikis and Halldors ideas and draw a lot of attention each season.

Apart from Lobster Snowboards, Eiki and Halldor Helgason own several different brands. With Switchback Bindings they produce snowboard bindings that are fully customizable, which means that all parts can be purchased separately and pieced together. Hoppipolla headwear offers a range of accessories and 7/9/13 a variety of belts.
