Myself and Senior editor Youri returned last week to Chamonix, the old stomping grounds of Onboard Magazine, to attend the third annual Snow Forum. This two day pow-wow was designed to give the snowboard industry a little time to inspect the fluff in its own belly button as well as have some outsiders from our clan come in and natter on about things as diverse as fashion trends and climate change. We were even treated to a brain numbing array of facts and figures which tell a woeful tale of the general populus falling out of love with snowboarding (bollocks!) and that as an industry we are facing an economic downturn (true but then look at skating’s see-sawing of popularity!)
Anyway why I am really writing this blog is to send out a quick apology to the TTR interns crew who were driving back from the Forum yesterday evening and who were subjected to the most heinous of crimes by the Onboard crew – a moon. Judging by the looks of complete shock and horror we were lucky not to cause a serious road accident… All involved should be thankful that it was not the “reclining dog” that was pressed firmly against the Onboard cars window.
So in conclusion I would just like to say thanks to everyone who organised or spoke at the Forum – it was great fun and very enlightening – and never ever take lightly the power of the moon!
